Job summary

ACCA Careers in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced indirect tax professional to manage a diverse client portfolio. The role covers compliance, advisory services, audits, and structuring under GCC VAT. You will support managers, assist in client development, and stay updated on tax laws.

Ideal candidates hold a professional tax certification (CA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) and have 2–3 years UAE indirect tax experience; a postgraduate finance/tax degree is a plus. Immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional Tax Certification and UAE work eligibility.
• 2–3 years of UAE indirect tax experience.
• Postgraduate degree in finance/tax is a plus.
• Knowledge of GCC VAT laws is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, litigation, etc.
• Assist in managing several clients across industries, reporting to managers and above.
• Support business development activities to identify opportunities with clients.
• Attend trainings/webinars on GCC VAT laws for in-depth knowledge.
• Build strong internal relationships across service lines and with clients.
• Establish effective working relationships directly with clients.
• Keep up to date with national business and economic issues.
• Demonstrate time management and help develop project plans and deadlines.
• Contribute to the development of your own and the team’s technical acumen.

Job description

Main Responsibilities

• Handling a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including but not limited to compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, litigation, etc.
• Proactively assisting in the management of several clients, belonging to diversified industries/sectors, while reporting to managers and above
• Assisting managers in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Attending trainings / webinars on GCC VAT laws and gaining in-depth knowledge on the subject
• Building strong internal relationships within the firm across service lines
• Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
• Keeping up to date with national business and economic issues
• Effective time management and assisting managers in developing project plan and achieving deadlines
• Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Skills Required

• Professional Tax Certification including CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the industry or as a consultant in indirect tax
• An additional postgraduate degree/ certification in finance/ taxation will be an advantage
• Knowledge of the financial sector is considered a substantial advantage
