Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a skilled indirect tax professional to manage a complete portfolio including compliance, advisory, audits and structuring. You will support multiple clients across industries, report to managers and contribute to business development.

The role requires UAE-based availability, 2–3 years of indirect tax experience, and a professional tax certification (CA/ACA/ACCA) with a postgraduate finance/taxation qualification as a plus. Immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in indirect tax
• Based in UAE with minimum UAE experience of 2–3 years
• Professional Tax Certification (CA/ACA/ACCA) or equivalent; postgraduate finance/taxation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Handling a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, litigation, etc.
• Proactively assisting in the management of several clients from diversified industries and reporting to managers
• Assisting managers in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Attending trainings / webinars on GCC VAT laws and gaining in-depth knowledge on the subject
• Building strong internal relationships across service lines
• Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
• Keeping up to date with national business and economic issues
• Effective time management and assisting managers in developing project plans and achieving deadlines
• Contributing to the development of your own and the team's technical acumen

Main Responsibilities:

• Handling a complete portfolio of indirect taxes including but not limited to compliance, advisory, health check, audits, structuring, litigation, etc.
• Proactively assisting in the management of several clients, belonging to diversified industries/sectors, while reporting to managers and above
• Assisting managers in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Attending trainings / webinars on GCC VAT laws and gaining in-depth knowledge on the subject
• Building strong internal relationships within the firm across service lines
• Establishing effective working relationships directly with clients
• Keeping up to date with national business and economic issues
• Effective time management and assisting managers in developing project plan and achieving deadlines
• Contributing to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Skills Required:

• Professional Tax Certification including CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the industry or as a consultant in indirect tax
• An additional postgraduate degree/ certification in finance/ taxation will be an advantage
• Knowledge of the financial sector is considered a substantial advantage
