Irwin & Dow, a global maritime entity in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to support a senior leader with both corporate and personal tasks in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate should possess significant maritime experience, a business degree, and exceptional organizational abilities to thrive in this multicultural office.
This global maritime entity has an international network of offices and partners and leverages its reach and expertise to offer a wide range of shipping-related services that are innovative and dependable. The company currently has an opportunity for a Senior Executive Assistant to join their headquarters in Abu Dhabi and provide support to a senior member of the leadership team. The EA will be strategic and advisory, highly organised and able to provide both full corporate and personal support in a fast-paced, pressurized environment. It is vital that candidates who apply for this role have worked in a maritime / shipping environment and have a strong understanding of the industry. This is a blended role incorporating the traditional EA responsibilities of diary and extensive travel management, stakeholder communicator and engagement, inbox management and full project support. The successful applicant will be able to work independently on projects and be able to provide full timeline and budget reports to the leadership team. The role will also be involved in large scale event management and will liaise with senior Board members. Candidates should possess a degree in Business Management or a related secretarial field and have worked at the C-Site level previously. Full IT proficiency in the MS suite and strong time management ability is essential. English language skill must be exceptionally fluent and as already stated, maritime / shipping exposure, is required. This is a highly multi-cultural office and a very stable and structured entity. The capacity to grow and develop in the role is there coupled with a very robust HR framework for the employees. We are seeking candidates who live in Abu Dhabi only, as it will be impossible to commute for this position.
