The Senior Events Specialist will be an integral member of the Operations Team at Lockton MENA's office in DIFC, playing a pivotal role in coordinating and executing a wide array of external and internal events. Collaborating with stakeholders throughout our business, you will provide support to associates and departments, ensuring that events are meticulously planned and executed to meet the highest standards. Your efforts will be strategically aligned with our business and communication objectives, as well as our brand values.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned events executive to join the world’s largest privately owned insurance brokerage firm in the world, working as part of the MENA Operations function.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the complete lifecycle of events, ranging from focused gatherings such as round table discussions to large-scale functions, while working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional in-person, hybrid, and virtual experiences.
  • Developing a comprehensive Lockton events strategy and annual calendar of events and sponsorships, clearly aligned with the brand and business objectives.
  • Collaborating with associates to understand their event needs, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment with divisional and business objectives as well as Lockton's brand values.
  • Working alongside external agencies, marketing team, and executive assistants to efficiently delegate tasks and ensure flawless event execution.
  • Establishing measurable KPIs for events and implementing thorough evaluations to gather insights for continuous improvement, with findings shared across the organization.
  • Partnering with the internal marketing team, and external suppliers as necessary to craft compelling event content for both internal and external audiences.
  • Ensuring a deep understanding of logistical event requirements to facilitate meticulous planning and seamless execution, including venue management, contract negotiation, and budget oversight.
  • Implementing the latest technology and innovative solutions to enhance event experiences and streamline operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-6 years' experience in event management within the UAE market, including vendor and hotel coordination, and proven track record of orchestrating large-scale events such as company-wide gatherings and holiday parties.
  • Demonstrated expertise in planning and executing corporate events from start to finish, including budget management and logistical coordination.
  • Effective team player with cross-functional experience ensuring that events are amplified through PR and social media communications.
  • Established credibility and ability to positively influence and collaborate with stakeholders across all organizational levels, including senior executives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently when necessary while maintaining strong collaboration skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities for effective prioritization.
  • Recognition of the need for flexibility, including willingness to work outside standard business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field
