Senior Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator with full experience in interior design costing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for interior design and fit-out projects, working closely with the design and project teams to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects, including all materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs.
• Analyze design plans, specifications, and project scope to develop comprehensive cost plans.
• Provide cost-effective solutions and alternatives while maintaining design integrity and meeting client expectations.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the bidding process by evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Review and evaluate project changes, ensuring any alterations to the scope are accounted for in updated cost estimates.
• Monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle and provide regular reports on cost status, identifying potential risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data and industry benchmarks to improve estimating accuracy.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the best value for the project.
• Ensure all cost estimates align with client requirements, project goals, and industry standards.
  
  

• Proven experience as an Estimator with a focus on interior design and fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques used in interior design.
• Ability to interpret architectural and design drawings to estimate costs.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Certification in estimating or cost management (e.g., RICS, AACE, or equivalent) is preferred.
  
  

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the interior design or fit-out industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing cost estimates for both residential and commercial interior design projects.
• Strong understanding of project cost control and budget management.
