Job summary

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract conditions, and raise clarifications.
• Lead quantity take offs and check BOQs for accuracy and missing items.
• Build up rates for civil, structural, architectural and MEP works.
• Send out enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, then analyse and level the returns.
• Prepare tender submissions, including pricing summaries, qualifications, assumptions and exclusions.
• Work with planning, design and MEP teams on programme, methodology and preliminaries.
• Put forward value engineering and alternative options to sharpen the bid.
• Present tenders to senior management and support post tender negotiations.
• Hand over successful tenders to the project commercial team.
• Guide and review the work of junior estimators.

Senior Estimator | Tier 1 Main Contractor | Dubai

The company

A Tier 1 main contractor delivering major building projects across Dubai, including high rise residential, commercial, mixed use and hospitality. They work with the region’s leading developers, have a strong tender pipeline and a well regarded estimating team.

The role

You will lead the pricing of building tenders from enquiry through to submission, reporting to the Head of Estimating. You will own the tenders you work on, manage the subcontract and supplier enquiry process, and put together competitive, accurate bids for some of the largest projects in the market.
