Job Overview

The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in the success of our construction projects by preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates. This position requires a deep understanding of construction processes, a strong grasp of current market trends, and the ability to analyze complex project documentation. Working closely with the procurement, engineering, and project teams, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost breakdowns, identifying potential risks, and proposing value engineering solutions to optimize project budgets. Your expertise will directly influence our ability to win projects and deliver them successfully, making you a key contributor to our business growth and project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop estimates.
• Collaborate with the procurement and technical teams to obtain quotations and ensure accurate pricing.
• Identify project risks and account for them in the estimation process.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders and proposals for construction projects.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effective and competitive estimates.
• Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs.
• Support the project team during post-tender negotiations and handover.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in civil engineer or related field of study
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an Estimator/ Senior Estimator in the construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation tools and softwares (Excel, Planswift/ Autocad, CCS Candy).
• Understanding of construction methodologies and materials.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
