Job summary

SLR Sustainable Environmental Consultancy LLC seeks a Principal ESIA Consultant to lead multidisciplinary environmental and social impact assessments across the Middle East, Africa and international markets. The role requires extensive experience delivering ESIA projects to international lender standards, engaging with clients and regulators, and coaching project teams.

You will travel across the Middle East, Africa and internationally as needed and manage programmes, budgets and business

Qualifications

• 15+ years in environmental consulting or ESIA/advisory services.
• Experience delivering ESIA to IFC/DFI standards and banking requirements.
• Strong report writing, client engagement, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary ESIA projects from inception to completion.
• Act as Project Director/Technical Lead with quality assurance and coaching.
• Coordinate teams across biodiversity, air, water, climate, social, and engineering.
• Manage regulatory approvals and liaison with clients, lenders, regulators.
• Oversee ESIA report preparation and QA against standards.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
