Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an experienced Environmental & Social Manager to lead the management of environmental issues across construction projects in the UAE. The role requires ensuring compliance with ESMS, permits, and IFC/IFC-like standards while coordinating stakeholder engagement and grievance mechanisms.

Responsibilities include developing Environmental Management Plans, conducting inspections, and guiding subcontractors on environmental policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher in environmental or engineering field.
• NEBOSH Diploma/IGC is advantageous.
• Familiar with E&S Performance Requirements and lender supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment and advisory services on environmental issues.
• Evaluate and develop environmental policy, management systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with plans, permits, regulations, and ESMS requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Oversee Stakeholder Management Plan and community engagement.
• Coordinate audits and environmental practice management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and lenders in line with standards.
