Job summary

Ethos is seeking a senior environmental scientist to help train an AI language model by creating, evaluating, and refining professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will work on environmental impact reports, biodiversity surveys, water and soil quality data sheets, and regulatory submissions, translating field data into clear technical reports for regulators and clients.

The role is fully remote with flexible hours (5-20 hours per week) and starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years conducting environmental impact assessments, ecological surveys, or regulatory compliance monitoring in a consulting, government, or academic setting.
• Direct experience interpreting field and lab data such as species counts, water and soil chemistry, or emissions readings and translating it into technical reports for regulators or clients.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.
