Job summary

LNKD in Dubai, UAE seeks a Senior Enterprise Architect to shape and own the bank's architecture direction across engineering and infrastructure. You will define the vision, govern standards, and drive modernization and cloud initiatives in a highly regulated digital banking environment.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business strategy into scalable, compliant architecture and oversee legacy modernisation, platform migration and tech governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture within banking or digital business.
• Proven track record owning architecture strategy and vision.
• Experience leading large digital transformation, cloud or modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or SABSA.
• Hands-on depth in AWS, Azure or GCP, microservices, API management, event-driven systems, DevOps and Agile.
• Understanding of core banking systems and financial services regulation.
• Experience in mature, regulated markets is valued.
• Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CISSP, ITIL or COBIT are advantages.
• Strong communicator and leader who can influence senior stakeholders.

Job title: Senior Enterprise Architect – Digital Banking | Dubai

About the opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, fully digital bank in the UAE, licensed and regulated by the Central Bank. Its technology spans core banking, cloud, data, and blockchain-based engineering. The bank is hiring a Senior Enterprise Architect to set and own the bank’s architecture direction.

This is a senior, visible role reporting to the top of the technology function. It covers both engineering and infrastructure. The bank wants someone who creates the architecture vision, not only someone who delivers it. There’s a clear path to wider technology leadership.

What you’ll do

• Define and own the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and target-state roadmap for a digital-first bank
• Design blueprints across application, data, infrastructure and security
• Lead architecture governance and guide major technology initiatives
• Act as the link between business and technology, turning strategy into scalable architecture
• Lead legacy modernisation, cloud adoption and platform migration
• Assess emerging technologies (cloud, APIs, event-driven systems, blockchain, analytics) and recommend which to adopt
• Make sure architecture meets regulatory, security and privacy requirements

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture within banking, financial services or digital businesses
• A proven record of creating and owning architecture strategy, not only executing someone else’s
• Experience leading large digital transformation, cloud or modernisation programmes
• Strong knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or SABSA
• Hands-on depth in AWS, Azure or GCP, microservices, API management, event-driven architecture, DevOps and Agile
• A good understanding of core banking systems (Finacle experience is a plus) and financial services regulation
• Experience in mature, highly regulated markets is highly valued
• Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CISSP, ITIL or COBIT are an advantage
• A strong communicator and leader who can influence senior stakeholders
