Job summary

Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai seeks a professional to develop and apply transport-demand policies, tools and studies, coordinating with stakeholders to support balanced, sustainable transport in Dubai in line with approved Transportation Policies.

Responsibilities include developing and detailing the system for regulating transport demand, drafting policies to balance the transport system, documenting impacts and priorities, and aligning with the Authority's strategic directions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and document impacts, priorities, and implementation programs for transport-demand policies.
• Align proposed transport-demand policies with the Authority's strategic directions and share with stakeholders.
• Develop and update databases and tools to evaluate transport-demand policies and procedures.
• Conduct strategic and detailed technical studies to support decisions on Dubai's road and transport efficiency.
• Follow up on implementation of policies and record status with concerned departments.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate consultation and information exchange.
• Prepare reports and presentations on policies and projects for senior leadership.
• Compile and validate data for policy and tariff-related studies to support management review.

Job description

Develop and apply transport-demand policies, tools and studies, and coordinate with stakeholders to support balanced, sustainable transport in Dubai in line with approved Transportation Policies.

Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and detail the system for regulating and managing transport demand in the Emirate of Dubai in line with approved RTA policies.

Propose and draft policies and procedures to create balance in the transport system, including temporal and spatial trip redistribution.

Identification and documentation of impacts, strategic priorities, and implementation programs for transport-demand policies that encourage sustainable and mass transport and reduce dependence on private vehicles.

Align proposed transport-demand policies with the Authority's strategic directions and share with concerned entities.

Operations

Develop and update the databases and tools required to evaluate transport-demand policies and procedures and ensure they reflect approved changes.

Conduct strategic and detailed technical studies on transport-demand management to support decisions on raising the efficiency of Dubai's roads and transport system.

Follow up on the implementation of approved policies, procedures and programs with concerned departments and record status.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding transport policies to facilitate consultation, alignment, and information exchange.

Prepare reports and presentations on policies and projects developed by the section for senior leadership or stakeholders.

Compile and validate data needed for policy and tariff-related studies (where applicable) to support management review.

Conduct benchmarking and scenario testing of transport-demand policies, and coordinate with stakeholders to provide informed analysis and support for senior management decision making.

Product/Process Improvement

Review and improve the data-collection and policy-evaluation mechanisms used for transport-demand management.

Propose updates to transport-demand policy documentation, tools and study templates to maintain consistency with the approved system.

Document lessons learned from applied transport-demand programs and share them with the section to improve future policy design.

Qualifications

Must have minimum 1+ years in case of Master's degree (2+ years in case of Bachelor's degree)
