Job summary

Space42 in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Engineer - Technology Quality Assurance to own the end-to-end testing lifecycle for web and mobile products. You will champion software quality, interface with clients for feedback, and drive manual, automated, and performance testing to deliver pixel-perfect releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years hands-on QA experience on web and mobile applications.
• Exceptional, fluent English communication for documentation, team collaboration, and client interactions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Solid background in performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Strong expertise across manual, API (REST/GraphQL via Postman or RestAssured), cross-browser, and performance testing methodologies.
• Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum with active participation in sprint ceremonies.
• An exceptional eye for detail with a relentless drive to ensure products look, feel, and function flawlessly.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries for database verification, inspecting network calls, and analyzing system logs.
• Confident and willing to engage directly with clients and stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the full Software Testing Life Cycle from requirement analysis to release sign-off and post-launch monitoring.
• Design, build, maintain, and scale automated test suites (UI and API) to accelerate testing cycles.
• Plan and execute load, stress, and performance tests to ensure systems remain fast and scalable under heavy traffic.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing to catch edge cases and usability issues automated tests may miss.
• Ensure UI/UX flows are intuitive and pixel-perfect prior to release.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers in an Agile/Scrum environment to refine stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps using JIRA or similar.

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Senior Engineer - Technology Quality Assurance to take complete ownership of our end-to-end testing lifecycle. In this role, you will be the ultimate champion for software quality, ensuring every feature we release meets exceptional standards of functional precision, performance, and user experience.

As a primary quality representative, you will also interface directly with clients to understand feedback and demonstrate product updates. Responsibilities

• Complete QA Ownership: Lead and execute the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) from initial requirement analysis and test planning to release sign-off and post-launch monitoring.
• Automation Framework Design: Own, Build, maintain, and scale robust automated test suites (UI and API) to accelerate integration and regression testing cycles.
• Performance & Load Testing: Plan, script, and execute load, stress, and performance tests to ensure systems remain fast, scalable, and resilient under heavy traffic.
• Manual & Exploratory Testing: Conduct thorough manual and exploratory testing to catch edge cases, usability flaws, and visual inconsistencies that automated scripts miss.
• Product Polish Advocate: Serve as the ultimate filter for product quality, ensuring UI/UX flows are intuitive, seamless, and pixel-perfect prior to release.
• Agile Integration: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Designers in an Agile/Scrum environment to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prevent defects early in the sprint cycle.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs to resolution using JIRA (or similar tools), providing clear reproduction steps and detailed diagnostics.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites directly into CI/CD deployment pipelines to enable continuous feedback and rapid delivery cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands‑on experience as a QA Engineer working on web and mobile applications.
• Must have exceptional, highly competent verbal and written English skills for clear documentation, team collaboration, and professional client interactions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
• Solid background in performance testing tools like JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
• Strong expertise across manual, API (REST/GraphQL via Postman or RestAssured), cross-browser, and performance testing methodologies.
• Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies with active participation in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• An exceptional eye for detail with a relentless drive to ensure products look, feel, and function flawlessly.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries for database verification, inspecting network calls, and analyzing system logs.
• Confident and willing to engage directly with clients and stakeholders as needed.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience presenting technical demos or managing UAT sessions with client stakeholders.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with security testing practices and OWASP principles.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software testing credential.
