JOB PURPOSE
The jobholder is responsible to provide with the engineering expertise in leading the Electrical Reliability for Borouge Assets, Plants, Electrical network, and Equipment in line with the international engineering standards and best practices to enhance the operations’ operability, productivity, quality, and capacity. The jobholder is responsible to handle multiple plants in B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 Borouge Ruwais site. This key role includes; to develop or update maintenance strategies, lead, or participate in high severity incidents and equipment failures, Asset Criticality Analysis, proactive risk management, perform Reliability Centred Maintenance, End of life management, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) study of Electrical system. Perform Standardization of best practices, bad actor management, site level common contract management, monitoring and analysis of equipment performance, reliability analysis for overall reliability improvement of Electrical system.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Maintenance Strategies
- Create/update P3M maintenance strategies, performance standards and ensure its implementation to enhance the Reliability, Availability & Maintainability of the electrical equipment.
- Standardization of Preventive/Predictive/Proactive maintenance plans, best practices for all common electrical activities including maintenance procedures across the site in line with engineering and reliability standards and best practices.
- Create/review work instruction/checklist/forms along with Maintenance Engineers.
- Assist in the development of a comprehensive Maintenance Management System for all machinery and equipment.
Reliability Improvement
- Lead or participate in developing strategic plans and perform reliability studies for the overall reliability improvement of electrical network and equipment.
- Perform the Root Cause Analysis of high severity incidents and equipment failures to eliminate the root causes to maintain the highest standards in equipment reliability and safety.
- Identify and proactive management of reliability risks using reliability methodologies and tools.
- Lead or participate in the identification and elimination of primary and secondary bad actors.
- Perform Asset criticality analysis (ACA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Maintenance strategies Optimization.
- Identify the Chronic occurrence of equipment failure modes and components. Suggests economical long term solutions.
- Track and implement the Electrical reliability recommendations to ensure proper deployment of the targeted improvement.
- Participate in the development of engineering and technical solutions to improve reliability performance of systems and equipment.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support/subject matter expert advice to operation, maintenance, and engineering department to improve reliability performance of electrical system/equipment and business continuity.
- Initiate or perform Subject Matter Technical Evaluation of MOCs along with other discipline Engineers for continuous improvement of reliability, safety, plant operations and cost optimization.
- Perform or provide technical support on major troubleshooting, design review on equipment failures to identify corrective actions, modifications or repair required, and implement new technologies as required.
Equipment Management
- Proactive management of end of life and Obsolescence of electrical equipment. Identify and establish processes to evaluate equipment service life and improve it in co-ordination with area engineers.
- Manage condition assessment or remaining Life assessment of electrical equipment to extend the lifetime or economic replacement/upgrade of the equipment.
- Coordination for establishing contracts which are common to whole site or applicable to multiple plants.
- Engineering support and Quality management of reliability improvement, end of life and turnaround electrical projects.
HSE Excellence & Compliance
- Identify statutory requirements coming as per the government regulation, ADNOC standards, OEM, Suppliers, international standards to produce procedures, work instructions and checklist for various activities and requirements.
- Propose improvements in business processes and procedures to reduce risk and improve safety standards of the plant.
- Keep abreast and knowledgeable on the updates for Health, Safety, Environment, Crisis Management, and Risk Registers for all the performed processes, projects, and activities within the operating zone.
- Promote, communicate, and lead by example all the safety-related communications, updates, standards, and any related topics with co-workers and within any interface.
- Contribute to provide timely feedback and recommendations to leverage a risk-free environment to ensure the ultimate goals of safe workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent engineering disciplines.
- Minimum of 8 years of total experience in maintenance of Petrochemical, Oil and Gas industry with 4 years working as Senior Engineer in Reliability & troubleshooting.
- Minimum of 5 years of the experience as Reliability Engineer (Instrumentation /Control Engineer).
- Working experience in maintenance needs, processes, strategies for equipment and systems in petrochemical industry & Oil-gas industry.
- Working knowledge on HSE policies applicable in chemical & petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of planning tools, techniques, philosophy, and processes existing in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
- Preferred to be certified in CMRP, CRE etc.
