JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer - Quality (NDE)

Work Location: Site (DAS Island - Abu Dhabi – UAE)

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare/review NDE related procedures (both conventional and advanced NDE techniques) required during the procurement, fabrication/construction, and installation phases.
2. Review and approve the vendors' and subcontractors' NDE related deliverables.
3. Monitor performance of NDE subcontractors, ensure personnel are qualified and competent, have valid certifications for the NDE techniques in use.
4. Review NDE reports including RT, UT, MT, PT, PAUT, ToFD to ensure compliance with requirements.
5. During site visits, carry out inspections of work in progress, including checking if the correct procedures are followed for the NDE process.
6. Perform radiographic film interpretation.
7. Monitor NDE backlogs and take appropriate actions for resolution.
8. Attend quality meetings with NDE subcontractors and clients.
9. Organize and conduct internal audits, including preparing audit plans, audit reports, and coordinating with auditees.
10. Support the project quality manager and project team in resolving NDE-related technical issues.
11. Perform relevant discipline-specific duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

1. Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 15 years’ experience as an NDE engineer with a major EPC contractor, preferably in oil & gas or offshore projects.
3. Must have ASNT or PCN Level III in RT, UT, MT, PT, VT.
4. Must have PCN Level III in PAUT and/or ToFD.
5. Must have CSWIP - RTFI Level II (Film Interpretation).
6. CSWIP/PCN certification in welding inspection (preferable).
7. Knowledge in developing techniques, procedures, and validation of procedures for various NDT methods, including PAUT and ToFD.
