A leading company in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee small works projects and engineering modifications. The successful candidate will ensure project compliance with objectives, manage interfaces, and support documentation processes, while also enhancing team skills and contributing to the budgetary control. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and substantial industry experience are required for this dynamic role.
Review, analyse, and provide support in the execution of small works projects and Engineering modifications to ensure the construction, commission, and hand over in line with the set objectives.
Coordinate and support the interfaces and construction of the small works projects and Engineering modifications projects as per the approved scope of work, Company’s specification, ensuring full compliance with the HSE and Quality requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Sites Support
Provide the Project’s interface support between the Company, ADNOC Group companies, and external entities in order to meet the Project objectives.
Identify the project interfaces and any gap in project documentation for design and construction information to ensure the documentation completeness and alignment with the Company’s technical and operational requirements.
Conduct the preliminary review and analysis of the projects technical details submitted by ADNOC Group Companies and external entities Projects Team in line with the established procedures and plans, prior to submission to the Company’s Divisions for further review, comments, and approval.
Identify project conflicts and interfaces with other projects and take proactive measures to resolve the conflicts and minimise their impact on the achievement of project objectives.
Review the projects specifications and schedules. Identify technical discrepancies, SIMOPS / overlapping constructions activities; and coordinate for the timely resolution to contribute in ensuring the business continuity.
Participate in the projects HAZOP, and risks review meetings, SIMOPS workshops. Follow up for the timely and effective implementation of the agreed on recommendations.
Provide expert support for the handover process of the projects technical documentation, spare parts, and the relevant training between the Project Management Team and End Users.
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
8 years of experience in Project Management within the Oil and Gas industry.
Strong understanding and knowledge of the site construction activities.
Experience in Project Management.
Knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations.
Knowledge of HSE principles and their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry.
Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
Experience with IT applications relevant to the job.
Professional Certifications
Professional qualification in Project Management e.g. PMP. (preferrable)
