Job Purpose

Review and perform project planning, scheduling, and monitoring activities for assigned projects, and monitor the performance of Consultants and Contractors on major/high-value Capital Projects.

Key Accountabilities

1. Provide input for preparing budgets for Capital Projects and assist in implementing approved budgets and work plans to meet Department objectives. Investigate and highlight significant variances to support performance and cost control.
2. Prepare summary schedules for new projects based on alternative execution strategies to aid Management decision-making regarding the most effective approach.
3. Develop project-specific Planning, Progress Measurement, Reporting, and other control requirements, incorporating them into Tenders/Agreements for various projects (FEED, PMC, EPC).
4. Evaluate technical bids from Consultants/Contractors to ensure compliance, assess resource adequacy, and contribute to the Technical Evaluation Report and Agreement finalization.
5. Review all project-related submittals during implementation regarding Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Reporting, Schedule Risk Analysis, and Productivity, considering project priorities and requirements.
6. Verify and endorse monthly physical progress claimed by Contractors/Consultants for payments.
7. Monitor progress and schedule status, identify concerns affecting completion, and advise on corrective actions.
8. Develop, maintain, and update a Databank based on historical data and regularly update the Projects Dashboard.
9. Review resource deployment for adequacy and recommend enhancements as needed.
10. Evaluate Variation requests/Claims for schedule extensions and prepare recommendations for Management approval.
11. Review Schedule Risk Analysis periodically and ensure mitigation measures are implemented timely.
12. Coordinate with Project Control Managers of all PMCs and EPC Contractors to ensure adherence to procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
• 8+ years of experience in Planning & Scheduling for large Oil and Gas projects.
• Experience coordinating and negotiating with contractors and Consultants in planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Hands-on experience in project planning & scheduling principles, techniques, and practices, with a strong understanding of work breakdown structures.
• Ability to foresee delays in advance; attention to detail for managing complex project schedules.
• Experience in both pre-award and post-award project phases within Oil and Gas EPC organizations.
• Proficiency with Planning Software during FEED/EPC phases.
• Professional certification in Project Management or Construction Management.
