JOB PURPOSE :
Lead all project planning activities to ensure the successful delivery of the Downstream Marketing & Trading (DM&T) portfolio managed by Ta’ziz Project Integration. This includes national and international projects in collaboration with Joint Venture partners. Report on the status of ongoing projects within the downstream project delivery program. Integrate all Project Planning disciplines into feasibility studies, early design, pre-FEED, FEED, EPC tendering, and selection processes. Apply best-in-class tools aligned with ADNOC standards across all projects, adopting appropriate Planning and Management solutions to enhance project feasibility and return on investment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project Planning
- Lead Project Planning activities within the Function, providing guidance on all related projects managed both nationally and internationally.
- Manage project schedules to monitor Contractors’ and Consultants’ performance during execution, ensuring successful delivery.
- Regularly review and analyze project updates to identify critical issues and risks early, proposing remedial actions.
- Develop, assess, and present various project schedules with different strategies to support successful project delivery.
- Compare existing project schedules against baselines and benchmarks to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Engage with project teams and external stakeholders to establish a Portfolio Integrated Plan covering all technical and commercial aspects.
- Support the development of Operational Plans for ongoing projects, ensuring integration of all disciplines from feasibility to EPC tendering.
- Advise and collaborate with project teams, contractors, and partners to deliver optimal technical solutions for petrochemical projects.
- Ensure project plans and schedules are achievable and aligned across the portfolio to maximize value for ADNOC.
- Coordinate with all teams to align with ADNOC Operations and external stakeholders, aiming for optimal project outcomes and high likelihood of FID.
- Maintain updated project risk registers and ensure risks are understood and mitigated.
- Track project MOC and VOs regularly.
- Collaborate with the SBD function on project opportunities for selection and development to optimize technical and structural options.
- Support techno-economic feasibility studies, including pre-FEED and FEED, to foster growth and economic value in downstream projects.
- Recommend process improvements based on best practices to enhance departmental efficiency.
- Assist the cost team with Business Planning, CAPEX phasing, and forecasting.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly progress meetings, providing comprehensive project updates and addressing challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, science, or relevant disciplines, with supporting experience.Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
At least 8 years of relevant experience in NOC's / IOC's, including a minimum of 4 years in a progressive project managerial or leadership role.Extensive project management and engineering experience is essential.Proven knowledge of strategic project planning and management.Professional Certifications
