Job summary

ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the Process Engineering discipline. You will direct and supervise engineers, provide technical advice to operations, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and about 8 years of oil & gas experience, with a focus on delivering safe, efficient process designs and standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and coordinate engineers within the Process Engineering discipline.
• Provide technical advice to operations on process engineering aspects.
• Review EPC contractor deliverables for process and controls.
• Ensure work complies with policy, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintain ISO certification for the Process section.
• Provide on-site process engineering support during construction and commissioning.
• Serve as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering and resolve technical disputes.
• Develop and authorize Key Documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for projects.
• Develop and maintain process engineering standards, codes of practice and technical specifications.
• Identify and evaluate new technical innovations to improve delivery of business goals.

Job Purpose

Direct, supervises and Coordinates all the activities of engineers within the functional discipline of Process Engineering and provide technical advice to operations on all relevant process engineering aspects. Designs integrity and timeliness of work for technical studies.

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Prepares progress and performance analysis reports, highlights the problematic areas and recommends appropriate actions.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with set policy and procedures and the regulatory standards are met.
• To reach and maintain ISO certification for Process section
• Review all engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractor in respect to process and controls.
• Review of all systems and equipment design, to insure easy & safe operations.
• Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage of projects
• Act as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering in the Company. Provides mediation in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties.
• Provides Process Engineering expertise for the development and authorization of Key Documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for all project works covering Assets, Major Projects, Brownfield Projects and New field projects to ensure consistency and efficacy.
• Support, develops and reviews the Process engineering standards, codes of practice and technical specifications to ensure that they are in line with prevailing legislation, current best practice and reflect lessons learnt from past activities.
• Identifies, investigates and recommends appropriate new technical innovations, developments and enhancements to improve delivery of business goals.
• Ensures Process Engineering representation and expertise is available for necessary support of HSE driven studies and workshops.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline

8 years of the same or similar experience in the oil, gas industry
