Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Process Engineer to direct and supervise the process engineering team, providing technical guidance to operations and ensuring timely, compliant studies. You will review EPC contractor deliverables, assure safe operation designs, and serve as the technical authority across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering with about 8 years in oil and gas process engineering, and involvement in standards, policies, and process documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of oil and gas process engineering experience
• Experience reviewing engineering deliverables and enforcing standards

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise and coordinate activities of engineers in process engineering
• Provide technical advice to operations on process engineering aspects
• Ensure designs meet policy, procedures and regulatory standards
• Review engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors for process and controls
• Review system and equipment designs for safe operations
• Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning
• Act as technical authority for process discipline engineering and resolve technical disputes
• Develop and authorize key process documents (philosophies, policies, design basis) for projects
• Support and review process engineering standards, codes of practice and specifications
• Identify and recommend new technical innovations to improve delivery of business goals

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Prepares progress and performance analysis reports, highlights the problematic areas and recommends appropriate actions.
• Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with set policy and procedures and the regulatory standards are met.
• To reach and maintain ISO certification for Process section
• Review all engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractor in respect to process and controls.
• Review of all systems and equipment design, to insure easy & safe operations.
• Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage of projects
• Act as Technical Authority for process discipline engineering in the Company. Provides mediation in the event of technical dispute between conflicting parties.
• Provides Process Engineering expertise for the development and authorization of Key Documents (Philosophies, Policies, Design Basis) for all project works covering Assets, Major Projects, Brownfield Projects and New field projects to ensure consistency and efficacy.
• Support, develops and reviews the Process engineering standards, codes of practice and technical specifications to ensure that they are in line with prevailing legislation, current best practice and reflect lessons learnt from past activities.
• Identifies, investigates and recommends appropriate new technical innovations, developments and enhancements to improve delivery of business goals.
• Ensures Process Engineering representation and expertise is available for necessary support of HSE driven studies and workshops.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

8 years of the same or similar experience in the oil, gas industry
