The ideal candidate will supervise maintenance activities, coordinate with departments, and ensure compliance with international standards. Applicants should have over 8 years of experience in Instrument & Control maintenance and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This role includes working on-site with exposure to various environmental conditions.

Job description

Job Purpose

Provide technical expertise and ensure optimized review and analysis of site resources and downtime for all instrument and control systems related to major activities to ensure reliability, availability, and safe operations.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Maintenance Planning, Execution, and Expertise

  • Supervise installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and modification activities of instrument & control equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Review preventive maintenance plans/schedules, prepare task lists, and supervise the execution of maintenance programs for instrument and control systems.
  • Diagnose, analyze, and conduct root cause failure analysis; study residual life of critical equipment and recommend corrective actions.
  • Guide on actions for chronic problems, review major repairs and spares replacements, ensuring compliance with international standards.
  • Participate in risk assessments, prepare recommendations, and address findings.
  • Ensure spares availability, coordinate material orders, propose stock adjustments, and manage inventory.
  • Develop new maintenance procedures, method statements, and schedule activities aligned with plant shutdowns.
  • Coordinate maintenance with other departments to optimize manpower and control shutdown activities and costs.
  • Support new project development, implementation, and commissioning, ensuring standards and cost optimization.
  • Prepare and review plant change requests (PCR) and develop implementation plans.

  • Plan and coordinate activities within the assigned area to meet objectives.
  • Train staff to enhance skills and performance.

Budgets

  • Contribute to budget preparation and assist in implementing approved budgets.
  • Monitor variances and support cost control efforts.

  • Implement policies, processes, and standards to support departmental objectives in line with company and international standards.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to achieving performance objectives aligned with company frameworks.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop tools and techniques to enhance operational quality and efficiency.
  • Identify process improvements based on industry best practices.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and sustainability standards in line with international best practices and ADNOC guidelines.

Reports

  • Assist in preparing section MIS and progress reports for management.

Internal and External Communications

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external parties such as consultants, service providers, and government agencies as needed.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation or Control Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

8 years of experience in Instrument & Control maintenance.

Revenues / Budget: As per approved financial plans.

Direct Reports: As per organization chart.

Indirect Reports: As per organization chart.

Professional Certifications

Applicable as needed.

Work Conditions, Physical Effort & Environment

Minimal physical effort required.

Work Environment

Typically in an air-conditioned environment; site visits may expose to heat, humidity, and dust.
