Job summary

Azizi Developments, a Dubai-based real estate developer, seeks a Senior Engineer - Fire & Life Safety to provide technical leadership across design stages. You will ensure FLS requirements are integrated within residential, hospitality, retail, and mixed-use projects.

You will lead reviews against NFPA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Civil Defence requirements, and coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors while maintaining compliance and safety best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Fire & Life Safety experience.
• Experience across residential, hospitality, retail, public spaces, commercial and mixed-use projects.
• Familiar with NFPA 101, NFPA 5000, NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 72, NFPA 92, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
• Chartered Engineer with recognized professional engineering institution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Fire & Life Safety strategies for diverse project types.
• Review design information for FLS compliance.
• Provide technical guidance per NFPA standards and local codes.
• Review fire strategies and proposed solutions from consultants and contractors.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and provide recommendations.

As a Senior Engineer - Fire & Life Safety, reporting to the Project Director and based at our Design Studio in Dubai, you will provide technical expertise and leadership in ensuring fire and life safety requirements are integrated across our projects.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders, supporting projects from concept through detailed design and delivery while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and authority requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and review Fire & Life Safety strategies for residential, hospitality, retail, commercial, public space, and mixed-use projects.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and technical design information for FLS compliance.
• Provide technical guidance in accordance with NFPA standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, Civil Defence requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Review and challenge fire strategies, technical submissions, and proposed solutions from consultants and contractors.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and provide practical recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and technical coordination meetings.
• Prepare and review FLS reports, technical notes, presentations, and related documentation.
• Keep up to date with changes in fire safety regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.
