Job summary

ADNOC Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to plan, supervise, and ensure effective electrical maintenance for the plant and distribution network. The role aims to ensure technical safety, integrity and reliability of assets while minimizing downtime.

The candidate will participate in predictive maintenance, safety audits, and major maintenance activities, contributing to optimized costs and improved equipment performance in a large refinery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and operation in oil/gas, petrochemical, or power generation plants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise predictive/RCM maintenance programs for electrical equipment to improve availability and reliability.
• Conduct internal safety audits of plant installations and develop corrective actions for maintenance engineers.
• Coordinate preventive, predictive, modification and shutdown maintenance plans for electrical equipment; align with other sections.

About the Job

Plan, supervise and ensure effective electrical maintenance activities for the operations facilities and distribution network at the Plant to ensure technical and operational safety, integrity and reliability of the assets and to minimise downtime of the facilities

Key Accountabilities

• Plan and carry out Predictive / Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs for condition monitoring of Electrical equipment to ensure improved machine availability and power system reliability.
• Conduct Internal Safety audit of the installations in the plant with regards to Electrical equipment and develop action plan for area maintenance engineers to take up corrective measures.
• Participate in the preparation of predictive, preventive, modification and major shutdown maintenance programs for electrical equipment in the plant. Review the periodic & shutdown work plans and integrate activities with other sections for their execution.
• Participate and provide professional expertise in the technological up‑gradation of obsolete equipment and preparation & execution of Plant Change Requests for modification in existing facilities.
• Carry out detailed engineering; prepare scope of work, technical evaluation and execution for Capital, Extra Ordinary Maintenance and Major Maintenance activities.
• Review the existing maintenance practices and support implementation of innovative & modern methodologies for enhanced productivity leading to improvement in equipment performance and reliability. Ensure optimum utilisation of the maintenance system for maintaining job history and data quality so as to retrieve quality information.
• Supervise High Voltage switching activities in line with set policies and procedures to ensure safe operations.
• Prepare method statements for critical jobs, verify electrical procedures and instructions, plus scope of work for contract jobs and service work orders to meet work requirements and standards.
• Participate in technical evaluation of bids and inspection of materials on receipt to ensure specifications and required quality
• Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the electrical design and specifications to optimise costs and ensure compliance with applicable standards and best practices.
• Ensure that operation methods and procedures are maintained by which prime consideration is given to the safety, reliability, stability and security of the system.
• Develop and maintains codes of practice and ensure that the standards contained in such codes are thoroughly understood and consistently complied with.
• Assist in the development of a comprehensive Maintenance Management System for all power system interconnection equipment, including generators, power transformers, high voltage switch‑gear high voltage distribution systems and Load dispatch centre equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in installation, maintenance, trouble shooting and operation in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry and/or power generation plants
