Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer specializing in Electrical Design to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will lead the design and development of complex electrical systems for industrial and commercial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Detailed design of ELV, ICT, Security system & AV system for Buildings and Metro.
  • Preparation of project specification, outline specification in CSI format.
  • Preparation of Schematics / system architecture and IFC drawing.
  • Carrying out Value Engineering in design to ensure economic benefit for clients.
  • Coordination with Architects, ID & other MEP disciplines for space planning, power & cooling requirement.
  • Managing team of BIM modelers, AutoCAD drafting technicians & Engineers for design & submission.
  • Leading technical meeting & workshop with client & various stakeholders for ELV / ICT.
  • Implementing requirements related to Smart system, Fire life safety system & LEED for building design. To enable the facility Smart, secure & energy efficient.
  • Responsible for ICT / Telecommunication infrastructure design for master plan development project.
  • Preparation of stimulation study for WI-FI heat map with Ekahau & sound modelling with Ease software.
  • In-charge for conducting QA / QC peer review & QA / QC audit for ELV / ICT system.
  • Attend and contribute at project and tender coordination, design and progress meetings.
  • Raise and manage any technical queries, issues, changes and defects associated with the ELV systems throughout the execution and handover of the project.
  • Managing sub consultants for design drawing submission. Assess the resource deployment by ELV subcontractor against the planned work. Highlight any deficiencies in resource deployment (quality and quantity).
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering; Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in electrical design engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical design principles and practices
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC)
  • Experience with power distribution systems, control systems, and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of industrial or commercial electrical systems
  • Understanding of energy efficiency and sustainable design practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
