Job summary

ADNOC Group seeks an experienced contracts professional to manage drilling services tenders and contract execution in Abu Dhabi. This role requires leading tender strategy, evaluating bidders, and coordinating with legal, procurement, and site teams to maximize value and ensure adherence to ADNOC standards.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science and have about eight years of experience in drilling technology, contracts, and cost engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Petroleum or equivalent).
  • 8 years of experience in drilling technology, equipment/products, and methods.
  • Experience on well site, tendering/contracting and cost engineering systems.

Responsibilities

  • Identify tendering needs and develop business cases with approvals.
  • Assess bidder competency and pre-qualify suppliers.
  • Prepare tender packages and participate in Tender Board submissions.
  • Define technical requirements, pricing, and contract/tender strategies.
  • Review contracts for clarity with ADNOC standards and scope.
  • Monitor mobilization, HSE compliance, and contractor performance.
  • Close out contracts and manage disputes with Procurement and Legal.
  • Manage contract resources and liaise with QA/QC and end users.

Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE

Managing Drilling Services commitments in accordance with best industry practices/latest technology, ADNOC Onshore Established policies, and legal requirements. Operates independently on assigned projects and determines contracts model to be used. The work requires the assessment and implementation of comprehend Drilling Services contract to maximize the value of information is obtained from exploration/appraisal well, cost effective wells, and operations.

Job Specific
  • Identify and validate the Need of Tendering, build up Business Cases, tender strategies and acquire necessary approvals.
  • Assess and review competency of existing bidder list companies.
  • Participate in pre-qualification of newly registered companies and advise best group to be fit in
  • Prepare and participate in Tender Committee meeting, review Tender Board Submission, attends Tender Board meetings as require representing technical aspect of submission.
  • Construct technical requirements/scope of work, pricing structure fit working model, specifications to be included in contracts, develop contract / tendering strategies, provide engineering support for tendering activities, conduct technical and commercial evaluations, assisting in negotiations, etc.
  • Review Tender packages to assure clarity of Request for Tendering (RFT) and in line with ADNOC Standards and compliant with Scope of Work
  • Capture Variations expose during contract life through right Delegation of Authority.
  • Perform functional review for the completed Tender documents.
  • Follow up the status of Mobilization, HSE rules compliance and implementation of corrective actions, performance management and contractor allocation.
  • Coordinates internally with other Team members to ensure contract effectiveness, capture lessons from current contracts and apply for upcoming contracts
  • Prepare allocation based on the approved share allocation and in relation to contractor’s performance and capabilities.
  • Compliance with Contracts status reporting.
  • Assure Contract validity, contract completion and close out. Review Contractor performance evaluation and managing contracts disputes. Negotiate Contract claims and variations in association with Procurement Division and Legal.
  • Periodically revisit the contract commitment (un-used Release Orders) and clear them and reconcile contract value.
  • Managing contracts resources (people, equipment’s, etc.) to ensure business continuity and cater business requirements.
  • Liaise with HSE, QA&QC team and end users to assure Equipment’s and Services are within required standards of work.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical /Petroleum or equivalent/relevant discipline)
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 8 years of experience, including involvement in drilling technology, equipment/products and methods. Professional Certifications
  • Experience on the well site and financial, tendering/contracting and cost engineering systems and procedures.
