Job Description
WSP in the Middle East are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer – Building Technology System (BTS) to join our growing team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT and Security systems within the building technology sector and will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced building technology and security systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of Building Technology Systems (BTS), including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and other security systems.
- Collaborate with client management, contractors, and vendors to deliver high-quality services and solutions.
- Stakeholder coordination, especially on security systems and ICT
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
- Key focus on technical innovation in terms of the client/Operator requirements
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage troubleshooting and problem resolution of all security/ICT-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest technology trends and innovations in building technology and security systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, ICT, or related field.
- Minimum of 08 years’ experience in building technology systems with a focus on ICT and security.
- Proven expertise in security systems such as video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, and building automation.
- Strong knowledge of latest networking principles, IP-based systems, and integration techniques.
- Experience with system design, implementation, and project management.
- Familiarity with local GCC regulations and standards related to building security and safety.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a security/ICT project
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CISSP, PMP, PSP, or relevant technical qualifications.
- Experience working in the Middle East, especially UAE for at least 5 years
- Strong multidiscipline interaction and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
