The Role
Mada Media, a leading privately‑owned outdoor media entity in Dubai, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer. This role entails a thorough examination of all designs, plans, and technical studies pertaining to billboards and traffic on the campus. It involves ensuring that these documents adhere to approved manuals, policies, procedures, executive orders, and other applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform specific technical studies related to department tasks and evaluate, review, and analyze various reports to determine efficiency and provide recommendations for achieving goals according to work plans and programs.
- Review the applications (plans and drawings) of the concerned operational units and clients regarding high‑rise signboard locations and freestanding signboards on roads, ensuring their compliance with the technical evidence.
- Study the locations of billboards and advertisements regarding technical guidelines (safety, zoning, etc.) as per requests from internal departments and external entities, conducting the required field surveys and applying the standards and specifications of the manual and approved procedures.
- Review, analyze and provide technical reports on claims and damages for contracts raised due to technical issues.
- Implement the strategy, policies, legislation, regulations, directives and procedures related to OOH and control advertisements or permits granted based on the specifications and standards of the OOH advertising guide.
- Coordinate with the concerned departments, government agencies, consultants and contractors, and provide the necessary technical support for the implementation of advertising contracts and commercial assets in the right of way.
- Prepare technical reports, correspondences and required responses for communication with internal and external official entities, as well as inquiries directed to the direct supervisor.
- Study the technical requirements from governmental entities for advertising sites related to various national or governmental events associated with the country or governmental departments and semi‑governmental entities.
- Participate in the development of processes, policies, technical guidelines, laws, executive orders and technical plans related to advertising billboards, traffic signs and signage.
- Provide technical support related to external advertising based on the Advertising Regulation Decree and the OOH manual as per requests from internal departments, governmental sectors and external clients.
- Participate in the development of processes, guidelines and business plans related to traffic and advertising signs.
- Participate in addressing internal audit comments regarding compliance to ensure the regularity of implementing traffic and advertising sign services.
- Participate in relevant teams and technical committees according to instructions.
- Participate in performance measurement processes related to traffic signs, directional signage and advertising billboards, analysing and developing necessary corrective actions in coordination with all relevant parties.
- Provide technical advice and necessary recommendations on investment studies and projects.
- Participate in addressing public complaints regarding road signs, directional signage and advertising billboards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities associated with the job as assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- 5‑7 years of relevant practical experience.
- High degree of analytical thinking and demonstrated talent in identifying, examining and improving multiple work procedures and simplifying them.
- Proficient computer user with mastery of multiple software covering a wide range of applications.
- Good listener and communicator with a high ability to convey information verbally and in writing.
- Active team member capable of building trust in relationships with clients and team members.
- Adaptability within the team and work environment, requiring effective prioritisation and coordination between concurrent projects and tasks.
- Ability to develop quality standards, conduct tests, inspection models and reporting, and the ability to conceptualise tasks and accomplish them.
- Good knowledge of statistical methods and their applications.
- Innovative problem‑solving skills and ability to provide practical and effective solutions.
- Fluent in English.
