Job summary

Petrofac is seeking a Senior Engineer – Quality (QA/QC - Site) to lead quality assurance and control during construction. The role requires implementing the Construction Quality Plan, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards across subcontractors and site teams.

You will train personnel, conduct QA/QC meetings, and drive corrective actions to sustain project quality. Ideal candidates will have mechanical engineering qualifications, CSWIP/PCN welding certifications, QMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• CSWIP CSWIP 3.2.2 RT interpretation certification.
• CSWIP/PCN welding certification.
• QMS lead auditor or auditor certification.
• Experience in oil & gas / petrochemical industry.
• Experience with EPC contractors or their subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Construction quality plan.
• Prepares/reviews quality-related procedures during construction.
• Support Site QC Manager in resolving QMS coordination issues.
• Prepare construction QA program/audit schedule including subcontractors.
• Review and approve subcontractors QA deliverables.

JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer – Quality (QA/QC - Site)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure implementation and maintenance of the Construction quality plan.
• Prepares / reviews quality related procedures required during the Construction phase
• Supports Site QC Manager and Project team in resolving QMS coordination and technical issues related with various ISO certification standards such as ISO9001, ISO 29001etc.
• Preparation of Construction Quality Assurance Program/ Construction Audit schedule which includes subcontractors, encompassing areas which specific emphasis on project such as cleanliness, tightness, welding, preservation etc..
• Review and approve the Subcontractors QA related deliverables
• Review project audit performance, identify and report problems or trends of quality performance.
• Approve, recommend and/or implement appropriate corrective actions to quality problems.
• Conducts inductions / trainings on project QMS for all the project personnel as well as the subcontractor teams as required and monitor the toolbox talk.
• Participate in customer feedback process, monitors customer satisfaction rating and initiates appropriate corrective actions to improve the same.
• Ensures the customer complaints are logged and appropriate actions are taken on-time to close out the same.
• Organize / Conduct internal audits which includes preparation audit plan, Audit report coordination with Auditee.
• Maintain the site action tracking which includes non-conformance(s), Corrective Action, Daily surveillance report and monitor the closure and effectiveness of corrective action.
• Coordinates and records regular quality meetings with Client
• Compiles project QMS performance report which includes KPI’s as a input to Project Management review and Corporate Quality Director
• Coordinates and records Project QMS Review Meetings during the construction and monitors closeout actions.
• Coordinates client and third party audits and follow-up action closure
• Ensure the implementation of Lesson Learned and report the new lessons to Project LL coordinator

Quality control

• Review and approve site ITPs, QCPs and ITRs based on corporate standard.
• Develop tag type matrix based on approved ITPs and ITRs.
• Close coordination with Completions to ensure correct ITRs are forecasted in PetroPCS.
• Coordinate with all the site sub-contractors to ensure timely inspection/ testing on site.
• Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality matters.
• Coordinate all receipt inspections.
• Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and
• standards.
• Participate in the internal and external site audits.
• Coordinate all the quality site inspections through the site QC inspectors.
• Ensure all ITRs are prepared and submitted to Completions on a daily basis.
• Control all non-conformance reports and undertake remedial action.
• Complete site quality control instructions and action remedial responses.
• Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site QC inspector.
• Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
• Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals to the customer.
• Arrange tool box talks/training in coordination with subcontractors.
• Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status.
• Supervise Sub-contractor QC personnel.
• Prepare daily surveillance reports, attend quality walkthroughs and report issues which need to
• circulated as a quality alert
• Controller (QA/QC) as relevant to support the quality activity.
• Align quality resources with business needs and assure effective coverage of the project load
• Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• CSWIP film interpretation/CSWIP 3.2.2/ RTFI Level II Certification for RT Interpretation.
• CSWIP/ PCN Certification in Welding.
• QMS Lead Auditor or Auditor certification.
• Should have experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry
• Should have previously worked with major EPC contractors or their subcontractors
