Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Engineer – EMC/EMI to lead the design, analysis, testing, and qualification of advanced electronic and RF systems for defence applications in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on EMC/EMI compliance, E3 risk assessment, testing, troubleshooting, and system integration with multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate will mentor junior engineers, develop test plans, and deliver formal reports while ensuring compliance with military standards and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6-8 years of experience in EMC/EMI engineering, RF systems, electromagnetic analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of EMC, EMI, E3, MIL-STD-461, electromagnetic principles, and compliance methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with RF/EMC test equipment and engineering tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CST/HFSS, and Microwave Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EMC/EMI analysis, testing, validation, and compliance activities for electronic and RF systems in accordance with military standards.
• Lead pre‑compliance and formal EMC testing, including emissions, immunity, ESD, surge, radiated susceptibility, and conducted susceptibility evaluations.
• Investigate EMC/EMI issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to achieve compliance and improve system performance.
• Develop test plans, technical reports, and compliance documentation while providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
