Job summary

James L Williams Middle East aims to hire a Senior ELV Site Engineer to lead mission-critical ELV and Data Centre projects. You will oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring adherence to international codes and client requirements.

Key responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing BOQs and schedules, liaising with authorities, and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of ELV system implementation and project execution experience is preferred, especially Data Centre, MEP or mission-critical infra.
• Experience with Telecom, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Fire Alarm and Integrated ELV systems.
• Experience in project planning, commissioning, testing, client coordination and handover.
• Knowledge of international standards, authority approvals, and ELV system documentation.
• Certifications in Structured Cabling systems (Excel, Systimax, R&M, Brand Rex, Opterna or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Strong project management, risk assessment, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution, commissioning, and successful delivery of ELV and Data Centre projects from planning through handover.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies with quality control, cost management and timely completion.
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of Telecom, Structured Cabling, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Fire Alarm, and other ELV systems.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for seamless execution.
• Review consultant specifications and contract drawings; prepare material submittals for approvals.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation to hit milestones.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship, materials and installations meet specs and codes.
• Support data centre projects by coordinating power, cooling and network system activities.
• Manage commissioning plans, responsibility matrices, testing docs, training manuals and as-built drawings.
• Liaise with local authorities to secure approvals at all stages of project execution.
• Prepare BOQs, material requisitions, work programmes, procurement follow-ups and variation valuations.
