Job summary

Mott MacDonald in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior ELV/ICT Engineer to join our Building Services team and contribute to ICT, ELV, and Security solutions across diverse projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, future-ready systems that meet client objectives.

You will participate from concept through to detailed design and tender documentation, collaborating with specialists across the business while delivering value to communities in the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing ICT, ELV and Security systems for buildings.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and Revit.
• Knowledge of cabling, networks, IPTV, IP telephony, Wi‑Fi.
• Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, intercom).

Responsibilities

• Carry out ICT, ELV and Security system conceptual to detailed design.
• Develop designs and tender documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, and other teams.

AbouttheRole

We are looking for a Senior ELV/ICT Engineer to join our Building Services team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of innovative ICT, ELV and Security solutions across a diverse portfolio of building projects. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop integrated,efficientand future-ready systems that support our clients' operational and businessobjectives.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development through to detailed design and tender documentation. This role offers the opportunity to work with technical specialists across the business while contributing to projects that deliver lasting value for communities and clients across the region.

Key responsibilities and duties

are listed, but not limited to, the below:

• Carry out conceptual studies for ICT, ELV and Security systems, including space and infrastructure requirements.
• Develop ICT, ELV and Security system designs from concept through to detailed design and tender stage documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, designspecificationsand engineering documentation for building systems.
• Ensure designscomply withapplicable local and international codes,standardsand client requirements.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, structural, utilities and specialist teams to achieve fully integrated designs.
• Participate inClient andsite meetingsand provide technical support to resolve design and coordination issues during project delivery.
• Identifycost-effective engineering solutions whilemaintainingperformance,qualityand compliance standards.
• Support the preparation of design calculations, drawings, engineer's estimates, tenderdocumentationand acceptance records.
• UtiliseBIM and other digital engineering tools to support project delivery and coordination.
• Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.
• Demonstrate safe,ethicaland inclusivebehavioursaligned to Mott MacDonald values.

Candidate Specification

• Degree (BEng/BSc/BE) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, TelecommunicationsEngineeringor a related discipline from an accredited university
• Experience in the design and delivery of ICT, ELV and Security systems within building projects.
• Knowledge of structured cabling, active networks, IPTV, IPtelephonyand wireless access point systems
• Experience with security systems including video surveillance, access control,intercomand two-way radio/TETRA systems.
• KnowledgeofBuildingManagementSystems, PAVA, audio-visual and smart building technologies.
• Familiarity with relevant local and international design standards and codes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and culturally diverse project teams.
• Membership of, or progress towards membership of, a recognised professional institution.
• Experience using Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
• Experience usingEkahau(WAP simulations), EASE (Electroacoustic simulations) and JVSG (CCTV simulations).
• Experience delivering complex building projects within the Middle East region.
• Exposure to digital engineering platforms and collaborative design environments.
