Description:

Stantec is currently looking for a Senior ELV Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision of a buildings project in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring the Electrical works related to ELV and IT systems, for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
2. Reviewing, approving and processing all ELV and IT technical submittals.
3. Prepare preliminary answers RFI’s related to ELV and IT works.
4. Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected ELV and IT activities and operations.
5. Reviewing contractor’s ELV and IT change order proposals and preparing recommendations to the Senior Electrical Engineer.
6. Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
7. Assist with the review of contractor’s claims related to ELV and IT works and preparing recommendations for claims.
8. Assist with the review of contractor’s project record documents relevant to their discipline.
9. Assist with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the ELV and IT works.
10. Prepare “sign-off” package for completed Electrical works with completed documentation for sign-off by Senior Electrical Engineer.
11. Perform all other duties given by PM.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Ten (10) years' experience as ELV Engineer with (3 -5) years in Construction Administration in the UAE/Middle East.
2. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or ELV/IT.
3. Strong technical background on ELV and IT systems.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Good knowledge of ELV and IT systems, products and materials.
6. Good command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).
7. Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
8. Excellent understanding of specifications.
9. Good understanding of Authority requirements.
10. Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over.
