Sargent & Lundy, L.L.C. in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead the design, modification, and analysis of electrical systems for power projects, including CCGT and SWRO desalination facilities.

The role requires coordinating with clients, vendors and multidisciplinary teams on complex projects. You will perform calculations, prepare design input, review drawings, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with IEC and NFPA standards and project

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
5+ years of experience in power plant design, especially CCGT or SWRO desalination projects.
Experience with medium/low voltage distribution, transformers, generators, motors.
Experience with IEC and NFPA standards and international codes.
Ability to lead engineering efforts, manage multiple tasks and mentor others.

Responsibilities

Design, modify, and analyze electrical systems for existing plants and new installations.
Prepare specifications and procurement documents for major electrical equipment.
Coordinate with project managers to meet schedule and budget.
Review calculations and drawings for accuracy and compliance with codes.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer reviews.
Interface with vendors for BOMs and equipment specs.
Communicate technical results clearly to clients and teams.
