Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer (Design) to join our team, based in Dubai OR Abu Dhabi.

This position is responsible for leading electrical engineering projects within the design division.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  1. Overseeing the use of Autodesk Revit tools to present design and engineering solutions for all projects.
  2. Providing leadership in research, planning, design, and development of building engineering systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, by guiding and instructing Level 1, 2, and 3 Engineers.
  3. Supervising engineers to perform evaluations, feasibility studies, conceptual and final designs, cost estimates, and calculations.
  4. Managing contacts with vendors for services and equipment provision.
  5. Ensuring proper documentation of calculations, supporting references to codes and standards, and proper file organization for future access.
  6. Attending coordination and progress meetings, presenting options and solutions as needed.
  7. Reviewing engineering options and evaluations to validate new products and design solutions.
  8. Leading problem-solving efforts at the project level and encouraging innovation.
  9. Following QA/QC procedures and working with the team to close out comments from reviewers.
  10. Obtaining project-related approvals from relevant authorities.
  11. Mentoring and overseeing the development of engineers under your control.
  12. Collaborating with the Director of MEP to ensure adequate project resources.
  13. Managing activities within your field of responsibility.
  14. Conducting initial design studies to address specific challenges.
  15. Evaluating preliminary designs and calculations to meet requirements.
  16. Applying technical skills to solve day-to-day problems and learning new skills.
  17. Ensuring effective work processes and systems.
  18. Participating in team objectives, sharing knowledge, and building understanding of design and project management concepts.
  19. Documenting all designs per practice manuals.
  20. Communicating effectively to support collaboration and team goals.
  21. Supporting your own and colleagues’ continuous development.
  22. Maintaining client focus in service delivery.
  23. Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and policies.
  24. Aligning work practices with KEO sustainability principles.
  25. Performing other duties as required.

Qualifications

To succeed, you should have a minimum of 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, along with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
