Senior Electrical Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Main Purpose of Role:

Key Engineering Role within the business to lead discipline performance on projects & to provide expert technical design leadership and design assurance on projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

• 10 - 17 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.

Advantage:

• Previous experience in the region.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as a Lead Engineer.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in FEED projects.

Technical Knowledge and Skills (Discipline Specific):

• Knowledge of in-depth engineering processes.
• Experience with international codes, standards, and engineering practices.
• Must be experienced with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design.
• Technical analysis of engineering problems.
• Preparation of non-critical engineering design documents.
• Knowledge of detailed engineering of electrical systems including design calculations, protection and relay coordination, preparation of single line diagrams, layouts, schedules, specifications, etc.
• Must have experience in power system analysis using ETAP / CYME or equivalent, short circuit calculations, load flow calculations, harmonic analysis, selectivity analysis, and transient stability analysis.
• Knowledge of sizing and specifications of normal and emergency power generation and distribution, motor control centres, UPS, DC system, utility electrical systems, power, earthing, and lighting.
• Must have experience in the design of high voltage and high power electrical distribution systems.
• Knowledge of field testing procedures and field test equipment.
• Must have a demonstrable ability to provide top-class engineering deliverables, as directed by the Project Study lead, without constant supervision, as per company technical competency standards.
