Job description

Key Designer Role within the business to lead discipline designing performance on projects & to provide expert technical design leadership and design assurance on projects as required.

Qualifications :

• Diploma of Engineering (Preferable)

Knowledge / Experience (Skills) :

• 13 -20 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Production of documents as per the latest Engineering Design Assurance Procedure.
• Originating of design documents such as drawings as per project requirements.
• Checking of critical & non-critical designing activities & documentation including scope of work, safety reviews, lists, schedules, MTOs, drawings, details, etc.
• Approving documents related to resource management, quality management, and technical quality in accordance with the Quality Plan.
• Ensuring adherence to Project Change Management and Engineering Design Assurance processes.
• Performing competency assessments and raising technical queries as per process.
• Capturing project technical issues on the Technical Actions Register.
• Managing document revisions and ensuring effective communication using Comment Resolution Sheets.
• Participating in project setup, planning, and scheduling activities to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitoring performance against schedule and budget, and proactively managing project performance.
• Contributing to positive work-share relationships within the department and ensuring work-share transfer packs are created according to procedures.
