Job summary

Al Rostamani Group of Companies LLC in the UAE seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to design and coordinate electrical systems for construction and renovation projects.

Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will prepare technical drawings, load calculations, and SLDs while ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. You will collaborate with MEP teams, architects, and contractors to deliver efficient and cost-effective electrical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Experience in MEP or hotel construction sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system designs: SLDs, schedules, lighting layouts, and power distribution.
• Perform short circuit, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing.
• Ensure compliance with ADDC, ADM, Civil Defense, and authorities.
• Coordinate with mechanical/structural teams for integrated designs.
• Manage drafting teams per project.
• Prepare technical reports, BOQs, material specs for review.
• Conduct design reviews and clash detection before construction.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers for specs.
