Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs, load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations.
• Develop electrical layouts, shop drawings, lighting designs, and power distribution schematics.
• Manage TAQA/ADDC authority submissions, approvals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with MEP disciplines, CAD/BIM teams, consultants, and site teams.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations and IEC/BS standards.
• Review specifications, support submittals, and provide design clarifications.

Role Description: OXYPRO Electromechanical Works LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and support our MEP projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review electrical designs, load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations.

Develop electrical layouts, shop drawings, lighting designs, and power distribution schematics.

Manage TAQA/ADDC authority submissions, approvals, and technical documentation.

Coordinate with MEP disciplines, CAD/BIM teams, consultants, and site teams.

Ensure compliance with applicable UAE authority regulations and IEC/BS standards.

Review technical specifications, support material submittals, and provide design clarifications.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).

8–12 years of UAE experience in electrical design, preferably within MEP contracting.

Recent Abu Dhabi project experience, ideally 3–4 years, is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of TAQA/ADDC standards, regulations, and approval procedures.

Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and electrical design software such as DIALux, ETAP, and Amtech/Hevacomp or equivalent.

Strong technical, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
