Job summary

TechED Nexus seeks a Senior Earnings Quality Assessment Specialist to evaluate the reliability and transparency of reported financial performance. This remote UAE role focuses on revenue recognition, EBITDA adjustments, cash flow conversion, and risk assessment across reporting periods.

You will prepare earnings quality reports, support due diligence, and provide executive summaries. Strong IFRS knowledge, Excel modeling, and communication skills are essential for collaboration with investment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct earnings quality assessments of historical and projected performance.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, EBITDA, and net income.
• Evaluate sustainability and recurring nature of reported earnings.
• Identify unusual, non-recurring, and potentially misleading income or expense items.
• Review revenue recognition, contract accounting, and timing differences.
• Assess consistency of policies and estimates across periods.
• Analyze EBITDA adjustments and assess reasonableness of add-backs.
• Compare earnings with operating cash flows to assess cash conversion.
• Examine working capital movements, receivables, inventory, payables, and other balances.
• Identify accruals, provisions, reserves, write-offs, and changes in estimates.
• Investigate margins, revenue trends, costs, and profitability drivers.
• Review related-party transactions and significant items affecting transparency.
• Assess FX impact and one-off transactions on performance.
• Reconcile management accounts with statutory statements and schedules.
• Identify earnings manipulation indicators and risk flags.
• Evaluate forecasts and management-adjusted measures for reliability.
• Prepare due diligence reports and executive summaries.
• Develop analytical templates, procedures, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with finance, audit, transaction advisory, and investment teams to validate findings.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and conclusions.
