Job summary

al-majid in Dubai seeks an experienced interior fit-out draughtsman to develop detailed shop drawings, joinery plans, RCPs, floor plans, elevations, and sections. You will coordinate with architecture, structure, MEP, and production teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications and local standards.

This role requires 3–5 years in interior fit-out drafting, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, and 3ds Max.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of interior fit-out drafting experience in the region.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, and 3ds Max is an advantage.
• Familiar with UAE building regulations and construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
• Develop detailed joinery drawings for furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, reception counters, wall cladding, doors, and custom-made items.
• Produce reflected ceiling plans (RCP), floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify and resolve clashes.
• Review design drawings and convert concept designs into production-ready shop drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, production teams, and subcontractors regarding drawing revisions.
• Prepare material take-offs and support procurement when required.
• Update drawings based on site conditions and client/consultant comments.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure document control procedures are followed.
• Assist in preparing submission packages for consultant approval.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify dimensions and project progress.

Requirements Qualifications:
