ROLE OVERVIEW

The Product Team Leader is responsible for the strategic development and commercial execution of DRS (Digital Retail Solutions) within a designated Market, ensuring alignment with the global DRS strategy and financial objectives. This role will define market needs, establish product and service requirements, and collaborate with MU teams to drive successful commercial launches and expansions. The position will oversee the full product lifecycle, including development, pricing, portfolio optimization, and overall financial performance.

This position can be located in Singapore or Dubai

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Owns DRS revenue and profitability within the Market, ensuring achievement of financial targets.
  • Translates global market strategies into actionable market-specific plans, integrating DRS insights and priorities.
  • Contributes to the development of global DRS guardrails, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives.
Market Insights & Product Strategy
  • Leads market intelligence and Voice of Customer (VoC) efforts to identify key opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends.
  • Consolidates market insights and represents them within the global DRS team, ensuring market needs drive global decision-making.
  • Defines and approves target customer segments, optimizing product alignment and go-to- market strategies.
  • Oversees the creation of market readiness materials for formal review and sign-off by Market Leaders.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
  • Collaborates with product managers to develop compelling DRS value propositions and support local teams in effectively positioning solutions to customers.
  • Prioritizes DRS portfolio development within the market and specifies key product solutions required from the global product architecture team.
  • Leads opportunity identification and market sizing analysis, ensuring informed investment and innovation decisions.
  • Drives the full product lifecycle, from innovation and market introduction to optimization and eventual retirement, balancing global efficiency with local execution.
  • Supports and champions the execution of a global DRS product architecture, ensuring consistency in product definition, processes, and customer experience.
  • Identifies and drives innovation opportunities for new or improved DRS products, technologies, and operational efficiencies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitates seamless communication and collaboration across country teams, market leadership, global platform teams, and enabling functions throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Partners with local leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap.
  • Works closely with Marketing to shape and execute a global DRS marketing strategy tailored for the market.
  • Utilizes standardized product tools, platforms, and capabilities, fostering best practice sharing across markets.
  • Cultivates strategic external partnerships as needed to enhance DRS capabilities.
Leadership & Capability Building
  • Develops and upskills local teams in DRS expertise, ensuring robust product management capabilities.
  • Provides mentorship, talent development, and performance management to MU product management teams.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, commercial strategy, or business development within a relevant industry.
  • Strong market and financial acumen, including market segmentation, competitive intelligence, pricing strategies, and portfolio management.
  • Proven experience in P&L management, investment decisions (e.g., discounted cash flow), and financial forecasting.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop high-performing product management teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking, including forward-looking market anticipation and thought leadership.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate across functions and geographies.
  • Expertise in product development, lifecycle management, value proposition design, and commercialization strategies.
  • Ability to lead opportunity identification and market sizing analysis to drive informed investment decisions.
