This position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and supports our international subsidiary, Cincinnati Children’s Global Healthcare Consultancy, a wholly owned entity of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. While the job is posted under the parent company, the role will operate within the UAE-based subsidiary, focused on expanding our global healthcare initiatives.
Job Profile Summary
This position will serve as a key leader responsible for daily operations of the pediatric excellence program, a partnership between Cincinnati Children’s and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City. Accountable for the achievement of appropriate collaboration key performance indicators and deliverables. Prioritizes and sequences initiatives in the pipeline as appropriate. Responsible for certain administrative, procedural, financial, and operational duties within the implementation plan that are necessary to support the success of the collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Lead the execution and delivery of the implementation plan for each targeted pediatric specialty, as directed by the Regional President and/or joint Steering Committee, to achieve key milestones.
- Conduct program reviews following each pediatric specialty rotation and provide updates to the Regional President, Steering Committee, and all appropriate stakeholders on progress, barriers, and/or opportunities regularly
- Serve as the point of contact for CCH and SKMC stakeholders to triage and advance opportunities, initiatives, and questions. Escalate barriers to the joint Steering Committee and CCH leadership as appropriate
- Provide regular updates to the joint Steering Committee and leadership teams as appropriate, and ensure the project tracker is relevant and kept up to date
Operations
- Integrate and coordinate resources and operations of the various reporting units and divisions. Serve as the direct liaison to various senior leaders of CCH to promote the broader institutional success.
- Ensure that clinical teams have the access, resources, support and services to achieve a high level of care within each program. Standardize processes for high quality and repeatability.
- Oversee and implement accreditation requirements for the Medical Center, including licensing and credentialing of providers.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop staffing and recruitment plans, including timeline and key milestones to enable the success of SKMC.
- Lead the planning and support efforts for the intended redesign and construction of a standalone hospital.
- Assess, develop, implement and maintain appropriate divisional policies, procedures, job descriptions and philosophy as consistent with Cincinnati Children's policies and values.
Communications
- Develop and maintain efficient internal communication processes to support the activities of the department/program including an intake process to effectively convey relevant information in a targeted way. Keep key leadership, administrative staff and other stakeholders fully informed of projected and actual developments in a timely manner.
People Planning
- Coach and mentor personnel to enhance professional knowledge. Make job requirements and goals for each position clear to employees and provide sufficient training to achieve the desired level of competency. Oversee succession planning for key roles. Provide mentorship and development to direct and indirect reporting staff.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years of hospital project management experience
- Preferred:
- Master's degree in business or health administration
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience with institution-wide, multidisciplinary initiatives
- Prior experience with managing partnerships
