Job summary

The Emirates Group is seeking a Senior Technical DevOps Engineer in the DevOps and Automation team. You will drive DevOps practices at product and program level, enabling CI/CD and cloud automation through infrastructure as code, containerization and configuration management.

You will apply Site reliability principles to ensure availability, performance and capacity planning, while bridging development and operations with an engineering mindset.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on knowledge of build automation and CI/CD ecosystem: Terraform, Git, Groovy, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Nexus, Artifactory, Selenium, Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies development/Management/Troubleshooting (Kubernetes/OpenShift, HELM, ECR)
• Extensive Experience in architecture and supporting best practices in Hybrid cloud environment or Amazon AWS/Azure Cloud.
• Experience working with automation and CI/CD implementation for micro services architecture.
• Exceptional knowledge in systems monitoring, alerting and analytics (Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure configuration and automations processes and tools: Terraform, Puppet, Ansible.
• Experience in deploying and troubleshooting highly available, secure and reliable services with automatic failover using containers and container-orchestration tools like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Expertise and experience in developing, operating and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Expertise and experience in developing, operating and troubleshooting cloud-managed container management platform at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead the discovery phase of Cloud adoption and migration with Architects and Security.
• Automate change management, build resiliency, monitoring, capacity planning and emergency response.
• Act as lead for service reliability, scalability and performance for multiple products.
• Review deployment and operational environments to reduce failure and troubleshoot issues end-to-end.
• Expand monitoring capabilities and manage production operations.
• Collaborate with Release Engineering, Product Development and Security to implement canary deployments and safe rollouts.
• Drive automation of environments, service management, infrastructure and cyber security aspects of systems.
