Job summary

Anotech Energy in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to design, implement, integrate, and test IT infrastructure and cybersecurity services for assigned projects. You will support automated deployment, system integration, and verification within an agile engineering environment.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, strong Linux skills, and proficiency with Jenkins/GitLab for CI/CD, scripting (Python/Bash), and IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant DevOps experience.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Linux systems.
• Experience with IT infrastructure, including networking, data centers, virtualization, and software integration.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab, Git, and scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Experience with Docker Swarm, Ansible, Terraform, or similar container orchestration and infrastructure automation tools.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity, network security, server hardening, PKI, REST APIs, microservices, and databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Jira is an advantage.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant DevOps, systems, networking, or cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
• Fluent English is required; Arabic and/or French is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and maintenance.
• Maintain development infrastructure, tools, and IT infrastructure subsystems.
• Support system integration, testing, verification, and deployment activities.
• Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and perform root cause analysis to resolve technical issues.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools to improve deployment efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, installation procedures, and testing reports in English.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical support on DevOps activities.
• Follow cybersecurity best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps processes.
