Job summary

Marc Ellis seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to drive infrastructure automation across Azure and Terraform within a large enterprise. You will build secure, scalable platforms and automate release pipelines in a predominantly cloud and on-prem environment.

The role requires 8–12 years in DevOps/Infrastructure, deep Terraform and Azure expertise, Ansible, IaC practices, and strong security governance. Onsite Abu Dhabi, 12-month contract with extension potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years in Infrastructure/DevOps roles.
• Hands-on Terraform and IaC experience.
• Extensive Microsoft Azure cloud experience.
• Strong Ansible for automation.
• Experience with both cloud and on-prem environments.
• Solid networking knowledge (subnets, VLANs, DNS).
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Git and source-control experience.
• Observability tools: Dynatrace, Prometheus.
• Troubleshooting and enterprise-scale problem solving.
• DevOps best practices in enterprise settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain IaC using Terraform and Azure-native tech.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
• Develop reusable, secure infrastructure templates and modules.
• Implement Azure infrastructure services across enterprise environments.
• Utilize Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Development, Operations, and Security teams.
• Implement testing, governance, and compliance controls.
• Manage infrastructure source code repos with Git.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot cloud, on-prem, and deployment issues.
• Optimize scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Maintain architecture documents and runbooks.
