Job summary

ASICO is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design development and coordination of architectural, structural, and MEP works across active projects in Dubai. You will ensure compliance with budgets, authorities, and project timelines while providing direct on-site design support to the construction team.

The role requires strong BIM governance, hands-on problem solving, and a track record of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in the UAE, with a focus on delivering high-quality,

Qualifications

• 10–12 years of experience in architectural or engineering design with construction-stage design support and site supervision.
• Minimum 5 years UAE experience is a must.
• Experience on the consultant or developer side; main contractor design-coordination is a good addition.
• Must be a qualified Architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
• Arabic speaker with strong command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day design development and coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP designs.
• Act as the technical reviewer for design submissions and maintain BIM protocols and data reliability.
• Provide hands-on design support on site and respond to RFI coordination with consultants.
• Ensure design quality, brand standards, and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Manage relationships with design consultants and assist permitting with authorities in Dubai.
• Mentor junior design/BIM team members and support handover with as-built drawings.
• Prepare and present periodic design progress and risk reports.
