Job summary

Chefra Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Data Warehouse Modeler to design robust data models and govern enterprise data architecture. You will translate business needs into conceptual, logical, and physical models and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes optimization, standards, data governance, and hands-on implementation across data warehouse, data marts, ODS, and big data platforms, with a focus on BI and analytics including Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on experience in data warehousing, data modeling, or related field.
• Proven experience with dimensional modeling, Enterprise Data Warehouses, and Big Data platforms in multi-data-center contexts.
• Deep understanding of data warehouse modeling skills (conceptual, logical, physical design), ODS, Data Marts, and Big Data Platforms.
• Advanced SQL, 3NF/OLTP and Dimensional (OLAP) concepts.
• Expert proficiency with metadata management and data modeling tools (Erwin, ER Studio). Experience with Power BI is required.
• Hands-on experience with modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning, and sandbox POCs.
• Solid knowledge of database loading methods, platforms, and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data models for the data warehouse, data marts, staging areas, ODS, and big data platforms.
• Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Assist the DBA team in developing physical data models and implementing ODS, data marts, and data lakes.
• Oversee expansion of existing data architecture and optimize data query performance using industry best practices.
• Define and govern data modeling standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies.
• Apply strict data naming standards, manage model repositories, and document decisions.
• Implement data strategies across relational and dimensional platforms and tools for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather requirements and facilitate data flows.
• Ensure data security and user connectivity across BI systems.
