Overview of the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Data Science - Finance to lead our financial AI and data science initiatives. This role is crucial in optimizing financial performance and risk management using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.

What you will do

• Implement various predictive models, including residual value optimization, credit risk scoring, probability of default, and F&I leasing pricing optimization
• Standardize financial KPI metrics and risk dashboards using statistical process control and advanced visualization techniques
• Generate financial insights using time series analysis, portfolio optimization, and risk modeling techniques
• Collaborate with finance and risk teams to identify data-driven improvement opportunities

Required skills to be successful

• A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Financial Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Over 7 years of experience in data science and analytics
• Expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, financial modeling, and data visualization tools
• Experience with MLOps, Git, and a deep understanding of various machine learning and natural language processing techniques

About the team

You will be part of the Finance department, reporting to the Head of Financial Data Science. You will lead a team of Data Science Managers and Data Scientists, working closely with various departments to achieve the project's goals.

What equips you for the role

• Advanced expertise in time series forecasting, regression techniques, logistic regression, random forests, survival analysis, neural networks, reinforcement learning, and genetic algorithms
• Proficiency in statistical process control, financial risk modeling techniques, portfolio optimization, and causal inference methods
• Familiarity with deep learning techniques and a strong understanding of financial regulations
• Hands-on experience with advanced statistics, mathematical modeling, machine learning, optimization techniques, and various machine learning libraries
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and manage small teams
