Job summary

OXIO is building a unified data platform that ingests data from multiple sources, enabling real-time activation and secure data sharing with customers. The role leads architecture, pipelines, and governance to scale data solutions across the organization.

You will work with Scala, Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud-native tools in a Linux-first environment, contributing to hiring and team growth while advancing data governance and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering with a focus on data systems.
• 10+ years building data solutions using data lakehouse architectures.
• 10+ years programming with Scala, Go, Python, and SQL.
• 5+ years building scalable data solutions with Python, Spark, Terraform.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native data stacks (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Strong understanding of microservices, event-driven systems (Kafka), and Kubernetes.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect and DBT.
• Proficient in building and scaling APIs (REST/gRPC).
• Experience applying AI/ML and LLMs to data products.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale a unified data platform.
• Design and implement streaming and batch data pipelines with Spark, Airflow, DBT.
• Lead infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Evaluate and migrate to a North Star data architecture.
• Collaborate to define logging, data contracts, and consumption patterns.
• Drive data governance, privacy compliance, and metadata management.
• Build APIs and data services for real-time activation and data sharing.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and growth.
