Job summary

CPX is seeking a SOC Lead Engineer, DevOps to manage and optimize large-scale data operations within the Security Operations Center. The role requires 8+ years in DevOps, big data environments, and a strong grasp of OS, APIs, ETL processes, and scripting.

The candidate will drive automation, architecture discussions, and data security initiatives using tools like ELK, Kafka, and Cloudera, across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in big data and platform engineering within a cybersecurity context.
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed compute systems.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automating data processes.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize large-scale data operations and big data technologies.
• Develop scripts and automation to streamline deployments and maintenance.
• Involve in architectural discussions and provide solutions following design patterns.
• Provide expert support for system management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data accuracy and integrity.
• Monitor, optimize, and report on performance of SOC data tools.
• Contribute to data collection, processing, and security strategies with big data tools.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure data availability and quality.
